Opinions story

In the society that we live in today, there is all sorts of judgement. Most people would like to say that they are not judge mental and allow people to do what they please without having an opinion, however, this isn't realistic.
I too, sometimes find myself judging people before i really get to know them, based on appearances and rumors. I try my hardest not to because I wouldn't want someone doing the same to me. I have also heard people talking about others negatively for reasons they can't control like appearance and something as pointless as how they speak. Judgement can be vocalized, or simply be a mere thought in one's mind. Either way it's still there, and occurs all the time. What's even worse is this criticism happens so naturally, that we don't even realize that we're doing it. Why does any of it matter? What other people appear to be, or decide to do, doesn't effect our personal lives.  Judgement is natural and no matter how much we try to completely rid ourselves of it, it's very difficult to live without. Personally, when I encounter a situation that has me a victim of judgement, I try my best not to express concern.Words can hurt, and they definitely have hurt the people living in our society today. I don't think that we fully understand the power behind the words that we say. And maybe the judgement isn't directly expressed to the person, but that doesn't make it any less hurtful.  Judgement when its expressed vocally can turn into un-necessary conflict that could easily be avoided if society would learn to better contain their judgment and opinions. Judgement is an un-avoidable concept, but learning to control it, is an honorable quality. One many should practice more. The society we live in today is not completely and whole-heartedly accepting so people who are willing to take a moment to better themselves, specifically in the art of avoiding judgement, are greatly appreciated. People are capable of change and maybe one day in the future people won't judge completely based on looks or what we personally don't think is normal, because it doesn't match the pre-set image we have in our minds for "socially acceptable behavior". The first step is for us to learn to love the diversity that surrounds us is to embrace the differences people have in personalities, styles, race, speech, etc. and accept people the way they are.

hdr photography preview

1. The camera needs to have an AEB function, and you need a tripod and editing software.
2. We need a tripod and a camera and a software program.
3. HDR helps people capture amazing photographs that can't just be captured by camera.
4. We will see very high dynamic range and colors that can't be captured when only using a camera. This technique only works when combining multiple photos.

I agree with the judges about the first photo. I think theres nothing great ,or that stands out, about it and it's blurry. It's a picture of a man in a red sled.

I disagree with the judges about the picture of a girl with a goose. They thought it was pretty good but i think thats its plain and nothing i haven't seen before.

1.  iMovie is an app that lets people make videos from their apple phones. It is very simple to use and there are many different options to chose from. People can add titles, filters, special effects, soundtracks, and other things too.

iMovie for iOS and macOS are specially made so that people can start editing on their phone and can switch to work on their iPad. You can transfer the video from iPhone to iPad from anywhere, regardless of wifi. After creating the movie, people can watch it anywhere, even their apple tv. The app also has great quality, making it funner to watch the videos.

2. I knew that imovie was for editing and creating videos.

1. This website goes deeper into detail than the first website I used. This website describes specifically how to adjust certain things while making the video. For example, it explains how to use the clip trimmer with pictures. I like how this website explains in detail how to use trim, but it doesn't explain many other things which I was curious about.

With the trim option, a person can cut out certain parts of the video that are unwanted or unneeded. With this option, you can extend audio or the video itself by selecting trimmer and dragging corners of selected frames/parts. an editor can make the video shorter, longer, take out sections, and edit the audio to make the clip more interesting for the viewer.

2. I knew imovie had a trim option but i didnt know how to use it
3. id idnt know how to change the sound
4. Im concerned about the voiceover
5. im confident i can make it interesting
6. i would probably take pictures of everyday events

Student of the Month Story

March 1st, Bowie High school has elected their new Student of the Month. This month's winner was Ellie Coulston, a freshman who dedicates her time to her studies and those around her.Ellie was crowned student of the month after her fellow peers anonymously elected her.

Coulston was elected for her great attitude and studious ways. The amount of community service she has put in allows her to be a good role model for her fellow peers.

Multiple of Coulston's close friends had nice things to say about her including, "Ellie is a great student and friend and i'm happy she is being recognized for it!" former Student of the Month Jenni Cootes said. Coulston agrees that to be Student of the Month you have to posses good characteristics. "Being Student of the Month means being a good role model, making good grades, being respectful and involved," winner Ellie Coulston said.

Coulston also enjoys spending time at Austin Pets Alive where she volunteers. "We love having someone as helpful as Ellie be apart of our team every weekend," Manager Micheal Summers said. Coulston enjoys volunteering at Austin Pets Alive, as well as the Students Tutoring Center.

Coulston describes winning Student of the Month as "a wonderful surprise!"."I was caught off guard... I wasn't focused on the award so it came as a surprise, a good surprise nonetheless" Coulston said. Coulston believes winning unknowingly is a better way to win then trying to run for the award. "I think I enjoyed winning the award more because it was unexpected. If i had known and pushed people to vote for me, i would have not appreaciated it as much" Ellie Coulston said. Coulston's parents were extremely proud of her for being selected. "We've tried our hardest to push the importance of being kind onto her, and she has definitely taken our advice and done great things with it," parents Anna and Chris Coulston said. Ellie doesn't believe she'll win again, but wants to continue doing what she believes will help the community. "All that I've ever wanted to do is create a positive difference within my community. I'll try to do my best in school, and hopefully inspire others to work hard even after the month is over," March Student of the Month Ellie Coulston said.

Architecture Preview #1

La Pedrera, Spain:

1) The architect is Antoni Gaudí .
2) It was built from 1906-1912.
3) It is located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
4) You can visit this building.
5) There isn't information on how much it cost to build.
6) This building was designed as a  home for the Milà family, and was the last civil work designed by Antoni Gaudí.
7) I chose this building because of its very unique architecture. The many curves of the building make it very interesting to look at. It's definitely a normal-looking building and that's what makes it special. I also chose it because I think that it would be a cool place to visit.

Habitat 67, Canada:

1) The architect is Moshe Safdie
2) It was built in 1967.
3) It's located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
4) You can visit this building. 5) It cost $22 million to build this building. 6) This building was built to create a cheaper living area for many people.

7) I chose this building because it looked very unusual and different. It almost looks like a young child's LEGO invention, but in a much larger scale; and that's why it's incredible to look at. Also I chose this building because it doesn't look like it should work, but it does work, and that's very cool.

Burj Al Arab, Dubai:

1) The architects are Tom Wright and Carlos Ott.
2) It was built from 1994-1999.
3) It's located in Dubai, UAE.
4) You can visit this building.
5) It cost $1 billion to build.
6) This building was built to be a luxury hotel.
7) I chose this building because I have been to Dubai, so I wanted to research a building that was built somewhere that I've been. Also this building is unique because they had to build a mini island off the coast of Dubai for this building to sit on. The building is also very pleasing to look at because while it looks unique and different, it also looks polished.

Guggenheim Museum, Spain

1) The architect is Frank Gehry,.
2) It was built in 1977.
3) It's located in Bilbao, Spain.
4) You can visit this building.
5) It cost $100 million to build.
6) This building was built to be an innovative looking museum.
7) I chose this building because it looks very interesting, and is in a pretty location. It also kind of looks like half of a metal flower, and that makes it very unique. I also chose this building because I like how the light reflects off of the building.

National Centre for the Performing Arts, China:

1) The architect is Paul Andreu.
2) It was built from 2001-2007.
3) It's located in China.
4) You can visit this building.
5) It cost $500 million to build.
6) This building was built to be a performing arts center.
7) I chose this building because when I looked it up, it said that it's known as The Egg, and that got my attention. It does sort of look like an egg, but it's also very pretty. The location is special, and the way it reflects like makes it look amazing.
